Proact Business Transformation Inc. (Proact) provides proprietary Enterprise Architecture (EA) solutions (framework, methods and industry reference models) that help enterprises of all types to achieve the operating agility required to meet the changing needs of their business.
Proact was founded by Art Caston to leverage the success that A.T. Caston Consulting, Inc. (ATC), his Enterprise Architecture practice, obtained with leading Global companies, since 1993. Its focus is to package, sell and support Art's innovative Enterprise Architecture framework, methodology, and modeling techniques as a Toolkit that can be easily deployed by business and IT planners within the Global 2000 and large-scale organizations. Proact is the extension of the visionary concepts that he portrayed in his international best seller Paradigm Shift: The New Promise of Information Technology, co-authored with Don Tapscott, in 1992.
The motivation behind Proact's vision is embodied in a statement from the preface of the Paradigm Shift:
"A fundamental change is taking place in the nature and application of technology in business. This change has profound and far-reaching implications for your organization and for you...Driven by the demands of the new, competitive business environment on the one hand, and profound changes in the nature of computers on the other...the Information age is evolving into a second era. Organizations that do not make this transition will fail. They will become irrelevant or cease to exist."
Proact's mission is to provide enterprises with the foundational capabilities to achieve sustainable agility. Specifically, its products and services accelerate the development of an aligned and business-driven Enterprise Architecture that is used to define agile business solutions and to define roadmaps for implementing transformation change programs.
